Comic Relief Xmas Facebook App
The Comic Relief Xmas Cracker was a project aimed at raising money for charity using the viral appeal of Flash video and the ready-made audience that Facebook offers. I created the Flash Video player and styled the interfaces using CSS and Facebook Markup Language (FBML)
For fourteen days over Xmas 2007 users received a daily BBC comedy clip (a 'cracker'). In order to watch the videos the user was asked to buy a cracker for at least one Facebook friend. Users could then track the statistics showing them how many of their friends made a donation adding a competitive element and ultimately raised more money for Comic Relief
